Feeding Therapy: creating positive mealtime routines
FEEDING THERAPISTS
what is pediatric Feeding Therapy?
Our feeding therapists specialize in treating infants and children with feeding and swallowing disorders. Therapists employ a range of techniques to help children develop optimal feeding skills and establish positive mealtime routines. Our focus includes addressing challenges with breastfeeding, suck-swallow-breathe coordination, and bottle-feeding positioning. We also specialize on developing age-appropriate chewing skills and expanding food varieties and textures. All while prioritizing your family's goals and your child’s health for a successful feeding experience. We offer small group sessions where children can work on feeding challenges alongside their peers. Our therapists utilize a multidisciplinary approach involving both a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist to support both the child and their family. We provide individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.
